Did you know you can print from home or your phone, and pick up in the library?

We suggest calling (413) 662-3133 for confirmation before you come to pick up print outs. While most show up in our print system within minutes, occasionally they will take more than an hour to transmit.

With our MobilePrint Service™, you can use your personal computer or mobile device to print to the library’s printers from anywhere. Simply submit documents for printing and come to the library to print and pick up them up.
  • File size must be 50MB or smaller.
  • Black and white printing is $.15 per page and color printing is $.30 per page.
  • Print jobs will stay in our system for 24 hours. If not printed by then they will automatically delete.

Print from a laptop or desktop computer if you are not at the library:
  • Visit https://www.printeron.net/noa/north-adams
  • Select the printer and enter your email address.
  • Browse your computer to find and select the file you wish to print, or enter a URL for a web page you want printed.
  • Click the green print icon (you will see the status of your print job and a reference number).
  • Come to the NAPL and provide Circulation staff with the email address you used to send the prints. Staff will then print the documents.

Print from tablet or smartphone app:
  • Visit your device’s ‘store’ for apps. Install and launch the PrinterOn app.
  • Click “No printer selected.”
  • Click “Search.” Search for North Adams Public Library.
  • Find North Adams Public Library and tap either the black and white or color printer and save.

To print:

  • Documents: when viewing the document, tap in the upper right corner and upload the document to the PrinterOn app.
  • Photos from your phone: open the app, tap on “photo” and select a photo to print.
  • Select the printer and click the print icon.
  • Enter an email address and tap on the check mark (you will receive a notice that the job started, and shortly after another message stating “Job Success”).
  • Come to the NAPL and provide Circulation staff with the email address you used to send the prints. Staff will then print the documents.

Use email to send something directly to library print system (print an email message or an attachment):
  • Forward your email from any device directly to the library’s print system at north-adams-bw@printspots.com (for black and white prints) or north-adams-color@printspots.com (for color prints).
  • Come to the NAPL and provide Circulation staff with the email address you used to send the prints. Staff will then print the documents.

Thanks to the Mass Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) we now have ten T-Mobile hotspots for loan to patrons! Click here to see if any are available.

The MBLC has distributed over 3000 hotspots to approximately 220 public libraries for loan to library users. Funded through the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the hotspot lending program focuses on IMLS' primary goal for these funds, digital inclusion.

T-Mobile Hotspot details

  • Filtering is on by default using T-Mobile’s content filtering for education. Borrowers may request that filtering be disabled when borrowing a device. The library will not ask for a stated reason. Ask at checkout or call 413-662-3133 x13.
  • Each hotspot will connect up to 10 devices.
  • Loans are for 3 weeks, with one 3-week renewal. If overdue, hotspot will be disconnected, and become unusable.
  • Return to the North Adams Library Reference Desk, NOT the outdoor drop box or to another library.
  • Loss of hotspot incurs a $30 fee to the borrower. Do not loan to other people while you have it checked out.
