Historic Preservation

The Tribe's Historic Preservation Office is located in Williamstown. Its staff works with local organizations to find, preserve, and educate about historically important places in and around the Hudson Valley and the Berkshires. Check out their work in downtown Stockbridge, Papscanee Island in the Mahhicannituck (Hudson River), as well as the following Facebook post from the Tribe's Cultural Affairs Department about the recent repatriation and reburial of artifacts at a previously undocumented historic site in Schenectady County.
