NAPL Main Page

Need a library card? You have a few options!

Standard NAPL library card:

  • Visit in person with a photo ID and proof of current address. We will ask you to fill out a form, and can set you up right away.
  • Or, fill out this form to apply online. Once you do so, it will take a couple days for staff to create the account and reach out to you with information. The card will not be active until this happens.
  • All new library cards will be considered "temporary" for the first three months. You will be limited to two items at a time until this temporary period is over.
  • A North Adams Public Library card gives you access to resources from any CW MARS library. You can also visit member libraries in person and use your card there. For more details, see our Circulation Policy at the bottom of this page.

CW MARS eCard:

Boston Public Library eCard:

You may be eligible for a BPL eCard! This gives you access to BPL's ebooks, research databases, and streaming media (including Hoopla and Kanopy!) Read here about eligibility requirements, how to sign up, and everything you can access with a BPL ecard

Lost your card? We charge $2 for a replacement. Or, just download the CW MARS mobile app, and pull up your barcode on your phone!

Can't remember your PIN? We can re-set it for you.

Did you know you can print from home or your phone, and pick up in the library?

We suggest calling (413) 662-3133 for confirmation before you come to pick up print outs. While most show up in our print system within minutes, occasionally they will take more than an hour to transmit.

With our MobilePrint Service™, you can use your personal computer or mobile device to print to the library’s printers from anywhere. Simply submit documents for printing and come to the library to print and pick up them up.
  • File size must be 50MB or smaller.
  • Black and white printing is $.15 per page and color printing is $.30 per page.
  • Print jobs will stay in our system for 24 hours. If not printed by then they will automatically delete.

Print from a laptop or desktop computer if you are not at the library:
  • Visit https://www.printeron.net/noa/north-adams
  • Select the printer and enter your email address.
  • Browse your computer to find and select the file you wish to print, or enter a URL for a web page you want printed.
  • Click the green print icon (you will see the status of your print job and a reference number).
  • Come to the NAPL and provide Circulation staff with the email address you used to send the prints. Staff will then print the documents.

Print from tablet or smartphone app:
  • Visit your device’s ‘store’ for apps. Install and launch the PrinterOn app.
  • Click “No printer selected.”
  • Click “Search.” Search for North Adams Public Library.
  • Find North Adams Public Library and tap either the black and white or color printer and save.

  • Photos from your phone: open the app, tap on “photo” and select a photo to print.
  • Select the printer and click the print icon.
  • Enter an email address and tap on the check mark (you will receive a notice that the job started, and shortly after another message stating “Job Success”).
  • Come to the NAPL and provide Circulation staff with the email address you used to send the prints. Staff will then print the documents.

Use email to send something directly to library print system (print an email message or an attachment):
  • Forward your email from any device directly to the library’s print system at north-adams-bw@printspots.com (for black and white prints) or north-adams-color@printspots.com (for color prints).
  • Come to the NAPL and provide Circulation staff with the email address you used to send the prints. Staff will then print the documents.

Thanks to the Mass Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) we now have ten T-Mobile hotspots for loan to patrons! Click here to see if any are available.

The MBLC has distributed over 3000 hotspots to approximately 220 public libraries for loan to library users. Funded through the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the hotspot lending program focuses on IMLS' primary goal for these funds, digital inclusion.

T-Mobile Hotspot details

  • Filtering is on by default using T-Mobile’s content filtering for education. Borrowers may request that filtering be disabled when borrowing a device. The library will not ask for a stated reason. Ask at checkout or call 413-662-3133 x13.
  • Each hotspot will connect up to 10 devices.
  • Loans are for 3 weeks, with one 3-week renewal. If overdue, hotspot will be disconnected, and become unusable.
  • Return to the North Adams Library Reference Desk, NOT the outdoor drop box or to another library.
  • Loss of hotspot incurs a $30 fee to the borrower. Do not loan to other people while you have it checked out.
